The registration invitation letters went out via USPS on 12/8. Many cart owners started receiving letters late last week. The Village is aware that several cart owners can log in with their pin, but the site is indicating “There are no records to display.” The carts that are listed in the letter are currently not showing in the system. The Village is working with the vendor to fix this issue ASAP.
We will continue to post updates on the Village’s “Golf Cart/Electric Vehicle Registration” webpage regularly, and will send out another Village’s Voice announcement (e-blast) when the issue is resolved.
We have received several emails and are responding/following up as quickly as we can. Those cart owners who had mailing address changes or new carts that are not in the system will receive further instructions. This may not be until after the holidays.
For those concerned about the January 1 deadline, the Village communicated prior to launching the new system that it will monitor the processing timeframes and will determine an appropriate time to begin enforcement for expired registrations. The public will be notified when enforcement begins.
