Outbound Mail & Packages

Outbound mail and packages must have the recipient’s address pre-printed on the envelope or package and should include the return address (preferably the sender’s PO Box and physical address).

U.S. mail leaves the island on the 2:30 p.m. passenger ferry Monday through Friday.

Please have mail in the outbound mailbox no later than 2:15 p.m.

There is no outbound mail delivery on Saturday.
All UPS packages, both prepaid drop-offs and packages originating at IPC, depart the island via the Bald Head Island Limited warehouse truck and then the barge.

The exact timing of departure depends entirely on the warehouse truck schedule and barge schedule. These packages must be transported via the barge and cannot be transported on the passenger ferry.

Every effort is made to have these packages sent off the island as quickly as possible. Once the packages arrive at the warehouse, they will be picked up by the next UPS delivery truck which is generally the next business day.
The IPC does not offer FedEx shipping services; however, we do accept prepaid FedEx drop-offs.

AMAZON RETURNS

If you already have a return label on the package, you can just drop it off at the IPC/PO.

If you only have a QR code, you need to figure out a way to get a return label created before the IPC/PO can send it off-island like all our other packages. The IPC can’t scan your QR code to generate a label.
