One week to the day that the Village began its response to the stormwater flooding due to Potential Tropical Storm #8, Chris McCall, Village Manager, sent a message to Islanders. The message included the actions the Village had been taking since the storm dumped 20 inches of rain on the island instead of the predicted 6-8 inches. His message also included a request that folks submit their questions about the Village’s storm response to the Village Public Information Officer (PIO).
Since then, the Village staff have held meetings to go over the response, address the concerns expressed by and to the Village Council, and answer the questions that were submitted to the PIO. Those questions and answers can be reviewed in this Q&A document (HERE). Village Staff anticipates presenting a PTC #8 response summary at the December 13 regular Village Council meeting.
After reviewing these questions and answers if you have any other items you would like the Village to address as it relates to storm response, please email us at public.information@villagebhi.org.
