Recycling

Recyclable materials can be taken to the Recycling Center located at the Public Works facility. The receptacles are accessible 24 hours a day and are located outside of the gate.  Recycling is only effective if it is done correctly.  The commingle recycling receptacle accepts aluminum cans, # 1 and #2 plastic, paper, glass, magazines, and junk mail. The cardboard receptacle only accepts cardboard. Absolutely no construction material, garbage, food, lawn chairs, or other miscellaneous items shall be left behind at the Recycling Center. If the container is contaminated with non-recyclable items, it will be rejected at the landfill and the Village will be charged a fee to dump the container. CLICK HERE for a guide on acceptable recyclable materials.
