Amenities:  Gazebo, picnic tables (one ADA accessible), kayak launch (ADA accessible EZ launch), small boat launch, and outdoor grill.  Annual permits are issued ($150 for the year) for owners of kayaks, canoes, and small boats (non-engine) to store their watercraft at this location.  There are approximately 244 spaces for canoes and kayaks.  Permits are first issued to permittees who had a permit the previous year, additional permits are issued on a first come first served basis if spaces are remaining.  Permits expire each December.  Click HERE for more information and to access the permit application for your initial permit or annual renewal.

Requests have been made to remove the build-up of silt at the bottom of the boat ramp. Unfortunately, State regulations do not allow for this material to be removed or moved. The Village must allow nature to take its course.

REMINDER: Crab pots are not permitted to be left at the Village’s creek access. If you use crab pots in the creeks around BHI, please be advised that they must be equipped with a terrapin exclusion device (TED). For more information about TEDs view the BHI Conservancy’s brochure HERE.
