All elections in Brunswick County, including municipal elections, are conducted by the Brunswick County Board of Elections. The Board of Elections office operates voting sites, maintains voter registration lists, and handles many other aspects of elections administration.

The voting location for Bald Head Island is the Southport 1 precinct located at The Brunswick Center at Southport at 1513 N Howe Street Suite 1.  

Voters will be asked to show an acceptable form of photo ID when presenting to vote at the polls.  Information on acceptable IDs is HERE.

The next municipal election in which Bald Head Island voters will elect a mayor and two council members will be on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Candidate filing will begin at noon on Monday, July 7, 2025, and end at noon on Friday, July 18, 2025.
