System Pressure Advisory Rescinded


Village Utilities completed the water main repair and water service was restored island-wide at 2 a.m. A system pressure advisory remains in effect until test results indicate the water is safe to consume from the tap. View the advisory HERE.

When the advisory is rescinded, notice will be sent via CodeRED, social media (Facebook/X), and posted on the Utilities webpage.

UPDATE (11/10 7:22 a.m.): Water pressure will be low over the next few hours as pressure continues to build up in the system. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATE (11/10 9:30 a.m.): Water pressure should be normal island-wide. If you experience any issues with your water or sewer service today and through the weekend, please contact Village Utilities at the after-hours number (910) 616-7716.

UPDATE (11/12 10:21 a.m.): The Maritime Market email that went out at 6:00 a.m. today was incorrect, the “boil water notice” (System Pressure Advisory) is not in effect, it was rescinded at 12:55 p.m. yesterday (11/11), customers no longer need to boil water.
