UPDATE Posted 3/28 9:00 AM – Edward Teach Extension near the Jailhouse will reopen to GOLF CART traffic around 2:00 PM today. Decking will be placed over the patch while it continues to harden over the weekend. It should reopen to all traffic by Monday AM.

The Village of BHI has issued a burn ban for the island effective Friday 3/21 at 8:00 a.m. The Village will not issue beach bonfire permits until this ban is lifted. This ban is due to very high fire danger conditions currently being experienced in the area and coincides with a burn ban issued by Brunswick County for all unincorporated areas.
