Barge – The barge will be running tomorrow which is also a Village holiday. The Village has authorized ICE vehicles, which are typically prohibited on Village streets on holidays, to travel on Village roads IF they are associated with the delivery of supplies and materials that have been transported on the barge. Barge customers are still catching up from the closure of the barge ramp last week, so the Village has agreed to make this exception to prevent further delays in deliveries to the island. ICE vehicles that are not delivering supplies and materials will be in violation of Village ordinance and operators may receive a citation.
Road Closures – The Department of Public Safety will have some of the roads blocked in the vicinity of the Village Chapel this Sunday for the Easter service. Islanders should expect additional congestion between 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. this Sunday morning.
Village Offices Closed – Village offices, including the IPC/PO and the Public Safety administrative office, will be closed tomorrow Good Friday, April 2, 2021.
