Mayor Sayre’s Comments – Mayor Sayre addressed the Bald Head Association membership at its annual meeting this past Saturday, January 30, 2021. He provided updates on the Wilmington Harbor Inner Ocean Bar Project, contractor services improvements, stormwater management, and staff changes within the Village. In addition to these updates, he emphasized the Village’s position that the concepts inherent in the enabling legislation can be a viable solution to the long-term operation and management of the Island’s transportation system, but that the Authority would benefit from a few adjustments to the statute. Annual Retreat – The Village Council had a productive retreat today. A recap will be sent within the next few days.
