Village crews are already out clearing the roads of vegetation. Damage assessment team members will be on the island as soon as possible to begin assessing damage to structures. IF YOU ARE ON THE ISLAND, PLEASE STAY ON YOUR PROPERTY UNTIL THE VILLAGE CURFEW IS LIFTED AT 9:00 AM. We will start posting photos of island conditions as soon as possible on social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Thousands of customers in SE NC are still without power. If Duke Energy has any details for BHI, we will let you know. Information on ferries will be passed on as soon as possible.
