The Village Council regular meeting is this Friday, August 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.  The Village will be setting up the meeting room for social distancing so in-person attendance will be limited.  Those who wish to listen in online can call the Village’s conference call line at 1-855-369-0450, use Pin# 41787483.

There are two public hearings on this month’s agenda.  The agenda can be viewed HERE. If you are not attending Friday’s meeting in person and you have general comments for the public comment period or comments for the public hearings, you can email them to the Village Clerk at village.clerk@villagebhi.org by close of business on Thursday, 8/19.

Today, Mayor Sayre sent this letter to Treasurer Folwell indicating that the Village has reviewed and received public input concerning the Deep Point and Bald Head Island terminal and parking properties appraisals.  A written report from the certified appraisers who have reviewed these appraisals is due to be delivered to the Village by August 31, 2021. The report is expected to support that the appraisals contain incomplete and erroneous data and methodologies and should not be relied upon to establish the value of the properties.

On August 6, 2021, the Village conducted a public information session on the Village’s proposed acquisition of the Bald Head Island transportation system.  A copy of the presentation from this meeting can be viewed HERE.  It is also posted on the Village’s BHITA Documents webpage HERE along with many other documents related to the acquisition of the transportation system.
