A tropical storm warning remains in effect for the Bald Head Island area. View the latest briefing from the National Weather Service Wilmington office HERE.
Passenger ferry operations resumed at 8:00 a.m. Here is the full statement from Bald Head Island Transportation, Inc.:
Due to changes in the storm’s path overnight and associated changes in the weather forecast, the passenger ferry will resume service Friday morning with the first run departing Deep Point Marina at 8 am. All ticketed passengers will be allowed to board the passenger ferry. It remains possible for weather conditions to deteriorate and create hazardous conditions later this afternoon and evening, at which time ferry service may be suspended on short notice. Please plan accordingly and continue to monitor the app and website for service status updates.
